SHE DECIDES UGANDA GENDER EQUALITY AWARDS (Eastern Uganda)
Do you know someone in Eastern Uganda who has made the promotion of women empowerment and gender equality their mission in life? Does their work create awareness on gender matters and advocate against gender based violence?

The SHE DECIDES-UGANDA movement is looking to celebrate them!
Please nominate a person who you think is well deserving of the GENDER EQUALITY award by filling in the
information needed in this form.

Selection process;
The organizing committee of the She Decides Festival will formulate an independent selection committee to review all nominations and make final decisions of final nominees to be awarded. Final nominees will be awarded the 'She Decides Gender Equality Awards of Honor' while others will receive certificates of recognition and appreciation.

Deadline for Nomination.
All nominations will close 26th Feb 2020 at 11:59 pm Ugandan time. Only nominations submitted through the provided template and within the provided timeline will be accepted.

Self nominations are also encouraged.

These are the categories in which the Gender Equality stars will be nominated.

1. She Decides Gender Equality stars who have played an outstanding role in shaping and influencing laws, policies and programs to be gender sensitive.

2. She Decides Gender Equality stars that have worked hard to challenge negative social cultural norms and harmful practices that perpetuate Sexual and gender based violence against women and girls.

3. She Decides Gender Equality Stars that have promoted access to quality and comprehensive formal and non-formal education, health care and employment opportunities for women and girls.

4. She Decides Gender Equality stars that have promoted Peace and Security and advocated for women’s participation in politics, democracy and governance.

5. She Decides Gender Equality stars that have used sports, entertainment and arts to inspire, advocate for and promote gender equality, empowerment and the rights of women and girls and created opportunities for girls and women to benefit from the sports and arts industry.
