The Children's Literature Assembly's (CLA) Student Committee is hosting a Student Networking Summer Series the last Wednesday of June, July, and August 2023 from 7-8pm EST via Zoom.
All students welcome! Attend one or all events to meet other students, share your research, and talk books!
- Research Relationships, Wednesday, June 28th 7-8pm
Bring & share a book that’s part of your research, or one of your favorites.
Networking: Informally share a bit about your research and promote any upcoming talks/defenses/etc.
- Stories of our Lives, Wednesday, July 26th 7-8pm
Bring & share a stellar biography or nonfiction story.
Networking: Discuss co-writing ideas and CLA Blog opportunities.
- Narratives of Joy, Wednesday, August 30th 7-8pm
Bring & share a book about joy, or one that brings you joy.
Networking: Tips for the academic job hunt; Special Guest Dr. Alex Berglund (past CLA-SC chair and current Assistant Professor, Reading, Literacy, and Language at Georgia College & State University) will share tips with open time for Q&A.
