“Jungle Friends” Baby Quilt Class made Freezer Paper Method of Applique

Cost: $25 for non members, Free to members
This class is to teach the freezer paper method of Applique & completing quilt top only.
This pattern is no longer available to purchase, so I will be providing everyone in the class use of my pattern at no cost. Sewing machines are not needed for class. If you finish the eight animal blocks before the second class, you can sew the twelve blocks together along with the border at home and then finish the applique ears, tails, horns at the second class.
Finished size is approximately 31 ½” x 49”
Tools you should bring:
Small paper cutting scissors
Small pointy fabric scissors
Thimble (If you use one)
Erasable fabric marking pen
Small ruler
Stiletto
Bring if you have any of the following:
Sealing Iron or clover iron. I have (8) irons to use in class or at a future time in room, (Not to take home)
Small light box (I have one and I believe there is one in the room). We can share
Materials needed (but not needed for first class):
½ yard for alternate blocks (7) between animals
2/3 yard for border
Black and tan embroidery floss for design details
I will be providing a partial quilt kit at the cost of $20. This kit will consist of:
All fabric needed to complete (8) animal blocks (Andover “Dimples” by Gail Kessler)
(5) Sheets of Heavy weight freezer paper
(1) ounce of Roxanne applique glue in applicator bottle
Spray starch
Small paint brush
Some needles. If you have a favorite applique or straw needles, bring your own.
You are welcome to use any of my thread until you receive your kit to match with your own thread.
Quilt kit is optional, if you do not want to purchase it, please contact me and I will send you a list of fabrics required, and you will have to provide your own supplies that are listed in the kit.
