Children in grades 3-5 are invited to our 5-day STEAM camp, where they will become composers of their own music through the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Music, and Math!

Each day of the week has a Music and Math focus, where Science is presented through a lab experiment, and Engineering is embedded through the making of actual instruments as well as participants actually creating their own composition piece of actual music.  Students will learn how to connect the music scale of notes to learning basic fact strategies in Mathematics. We want our students to practice skills to strengthen automaticity in number sense as well as in reading music.  We do not want our children to lose the knowledge they received this past school year, rather we want to continue to grow and apply what they previously learned last year to the components of our STEAM camp.  

Students will capture their learning experiences through hands-on activities that activate their senses in a way that makes learning fun.  In addition, students walk aways learning to read music based on the middle c scale.  

Our goal is for students to have fun learning, while accomplishing a product to present on Day 4 of camp, as a cumulation of what they learned each day prior.  

As a bonus, on day 5, students will meet an actual PhD Scientist who will connect all of the components of the week into a real-life Science lab presentation!  Students will learn all about what it is like to have a career in the science field, and will get to experience in the safety procedures as well as the scientific process.

This camp was developed by certified Teachers who have experience with STEAM as well as Curriculum and Instruction.

There are two options available upon sign up.  One does not provide a lunch and learn option, where students are invited to stay for lunch and an opportunity to learn through reflections and collaborative discussions about STEAM topics guided by the Teacher.   The second option actually includes the lunch and learn within the price.  

Option 1:  STEAM Camp without lunch and learn = $150
Option 2:  STEAM Camp with lunch and learn = $165
