Interactive Science for Homeschooled Teens
A weekly practical science interactive class facilitated by passionate science minded mum Sandy Salthouse, aimed at students aged approx 13 - 16 years. (School years 9 - 11)

Sandy says...

"This will be a participatory class where each student would find their own experiment and present it to the class - plus hopefully some related theory.   The intention is for the class to be a fun, interactive experience – supplemental to any Science they may do at home. Over the year we would touch on most areas of science, starting in term one with Physics.

Family/parent/sibling involvement is very welcome and even encouraged at the start so we can work together to get things going and by the end hopefully the students will be happy, confident and independent researchers and presenters - if they aren’t already.

This is not a class where I stand up and teach for the whole time - I will be facilitating the student’s work, and possibly extending it, as well as covering a small amount of theory but is intended to be an interactive class focused on the students participation, starting off reasonably casual and building into something more structured."
