This program offers $250.00 grants to any K-12 student who shares an identity with the ones listed below and is enrolled in a K-12 Florida music percussion program. A student may only apply for this grant once per school calendar year.

Modern Marimba is committed to amplifying the voices of the following marginalized groups of people:

- Women/trans women/girls/females/femmes/non-binary people
- BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color)
- LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, Queer or questioning, intersex, and asexual)
- People with Disabilities (vision impairment, deaf or hard of hearing, mental health conditions, intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, physical disability)

The information requested will remain confidential and only be used to verify information with the schools and music directors. Please leave us a note with instructions as to any additional info we need to know protect the student's privacy.

These funds can be used for musical purposes:

- mallet purchases
- instrument purchase or rental
- sheet music
- music supplies
- private lessons
- band instrument rental fees
- FBA solo and ensemble fees for mallet solos/ensembles
