Mr. Wachs' Student Alumni - Mentorship
This survey is for former students of Mr. Wachs (the alumni) who took Computer Science with him in high school (Silver Heights, Sturgeon Heights, Red River College, University of Manitoba, Memorial University, or InformNet). First off, I hope you all are doing well, some of you I see frequently, other in-frequently and others less often. I'm writing today primarily to re-establish contact, and inquire if you are open for me to contact you in the future when I have questions or when I'm looking for advice on developing and improving Computer Science education in Manitoba. I have heard directly or through rumors (which may be false) that you are currently either a student in, or working in a Computer Science area, STEM related career, or path towards one. This survey is a way for me to collect contact information, stay in touch, and be proud! For you, it provides you an opportunity to be a mentor to high school students (like you were a "long" time ago) as you have walked the same path and are ahead of on the trail. You can provide a little or a lot of guidance and support to help answer questions I may not be able to answer.

Name (first and last)
What best describes your current role?
Clear selection
Based on the last question, what would you like to share about this?
For example, you could describe your job, tell me your current major, describe your goals for the future, whatever you are comfortable sharing and with as much detail as you are comfortable sharing
Would you be willing to be a mentor at some time in the future?
This would involve whatever level of involvement you are comfortable with. From the occasional email asking a question, to emailing back and forth with a student (through me) to help guide questions and answers, to coming in (or videoing in) to speak to classes about their futures, etc. No commitment and you can pull back or offer more at any moment. But does the idea of this interest you?
