CMU STEAM in K-5 classrooms - Spring 2023
Hello Pittsburgh teachers! We at Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering's Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion have a lot of inspirational graduate student researchers, who are enthusiastic and excited about STEAM (especially engineering) outreach! We are currently serving public schools, and schools that work with marginalized communities, that are within a 20 minute Uber or Lyft ride of CMU's campus.

If you are interested in having CMU graduate students visit your classroom, either to support an upcoming lesson, or to bring a NGSS lesson or activity, please fill out the form below. As former K-12 teachers ourselves, we are looking forward to working together with you all in order to better support Pittsburgh teachers in anyway we can. We especially aim to work more closely with Pittsburgh Public School faculty this Spring!

For K-5 work, we continue to work with our partners at UC Berkeley and Community Resources for Science, in Berkeley, CA.  It is likely that we can provide any of the K-5 lessons found here: https://crscience.org/outreach/lessonarchive/, with enough lead time to gather materials if it is a lesson that we have not yet built out.
