This selective year-long program offers middle and high school students the opportunity for personal growth while serving the greater good in the Newton community. Accepted teens serve as ambassadors for the Newton Food Pantry, while developing leadership skills in volunteer service and community organizing. TAP members take part in a customized training program, taught by community leaders, including topics such as non-profit organizational management, community organizing and public speaking. Students are given an “insider” experience at the Newton Food Pantry, where they will learn how a successful non-profit organization runs and gain a better understanding of the impact that the NFP has in the community.

TAP members will brainstorm and implement opportunities to assist with combatting food insecurity in the Newton community.

Please complete this application for consideration to the Newton Food Pantry Teen Ambassador Program  (TAP).  In addition, you will need to provide the name of someone outside of your family to complete the recommendation form.  All paperwork should be submitted by Wednesday, July 1, 2020.

IMPORTANT:  Please note that your changes will be lost if you exit this form prior to clicking on "Submit".  You may want to print out the questions first so that you can do a draft of your answers before completing the online form.
