Therapy Dog

In the past, Northville Public Schools has utilized therapy dogs for special events or to signify specific occasions.  We recognize the positive impact therapy dogs can have on our students' emotional wellbeing.  Understanding the benefits of therapy dogs, we will be piloting a therapy dogs program in our elementary buildings.

We are excited to share that we are bringing therapy dogs to our Elementary Schools.  Our program includes therapy dogs (on a leash with their handlers at all times) visiting our schools on a weekly basis for 1 1/2 hours, twice a week.

The therapy dog visiting Silver Springs is a golden retriever named Jake.

If you have a student who is allergic or uncomfortable being around dogs, please let us know by completing the information below and they will be identified as a student who should not interact with the therapy dog.
