Soup's On 2024  - Registration for Competition 
Submit one form for each soup you will enter in our annual soup competition. You will receive an email confirmation of your registration. Each person entering a soup pays no entry fees for the event.

Date:  Sunday, February 25, 2024
Location: Marilynn's Place, 4041 Fern Ave, Shreveport, LA 71105

Important Details:
  • Please arrive between 4:10-4:30 pm so we can label your soup prior to attendees arriving (event time is 5:00-7:00 pm).  Attendees are expected to serve themselves, so you are free to enjoy the event; however, if you prefer to serve your soup that is fine too.
  • Make approximately 2 gallons of soup, i.e., the capacity of a large 6-8 quart Crock Pot.
  • Bring any warming or cooling devices (such as a Crock Pot) necessary to keep your soup delicious; electrical outlets and extension cords will be available.
  • Bring a serving spoon or ladle for your soup. Slow Food provides small cups and spoons for sampling
  • Be “Slow Food minded” with your soup:  use local and seasonal ingredients if possible.  Visit our website for ways to find locally grown foods: https://www.slowfoodnorthla.org/local
  • Judges select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.  Attendees select a “fan favorite” winner. There will be prizes!
