Please join with us in supporting Mattawan Consolidated Schools as we kick off a running event for the benefit of the Mattawan Public Education Foundation (MPEF) by hosting the 13th annual Wildcat Road & Trail 5K on Saturday, August 5, 2023. All proceeds earned from the race will be donated to the Mattawan Public Education Foundation (MPEF) for use toward their brain strong programs for students. These programs promote and support innovative teaching and learning in the schools. Brain strong summarizes the mission of the Mattawan Public Education Foundation: “to strengthen the community through funding unique educational opportunities.” Check out www.mpef.org to see students engaged in these programs or for more information.

Our 5K Committee is excited to offer local businesses an opportunity for sponsorship and promotion, and we hope that you will be able to support our 5K race in the community of Mattawan. Last year’s event had over 250+ runners and 50+ volunteers from Mattawan, Kalamazoo, Schoolcraft, Portage, Battle Creek and surrounding areas (even families from Hudson, MI) to help donate $11,000 to MPEF. This year we hope to inspire more local businesses to get involved with our event.
