-사물학 연대기

해외 석학 화상 세미나 ‹정/동/사/물›은 인간중심적 사유에 근거한 서구문명이 팬데믹과 인류세 등의 위기를 직면하고 있는 상황에서 인간이 아닌 것들과의 공존을 위해 세계 각국의 사상가들의 사유와 대안을 듣고자 합니다.
중국의 유쿠이는 기술에 대한 중국의 전통적 사유를 사례로 코스모테크닉스라는 개념을 제시하는 한편, 디지털 대상의 규명과 기계와 생태의 모호한 경계등을 문제시하면서 기술에 대한 사유를 이어갑니다. 일본의 고쿠분 고이치로는 행위의 주체보다 사건으로서의 행위가 먼저 있었던, 주체도, 자유의지도 존재하기 이전의 세계를 그리며, 한국의 이정우는 『장자』 「제물론」에 나오는 도추(道樞, joint of way) 개념을 이접적 종합(disjuctive synthesis)개념을 매개로 현대적으로 재해석하여 내재적 가능세계론과 타자되기에 대해서 논합니다. 스웨덴의 안무가 마텐 스팽베르크는 최근 사변적 실재론적 사유를 무용 안무에 실제로 접목을 시도합니다.

세미나는 온라인과 오프라인에서 동시에 진행될 예정입니다. 오프라인 '정동 1928 아트센터 이벤트홀'은 코로나19 감염 예방 거리두기에 따라 40명으로 인원제한을 하고, 온라인은 ZOOM을 통해 200명 인원제한이 있을 예정입니다. 현장 방문을 원하시는 관객과 온라인 참관을 원하는 분들은 관련 정보를 입력해주시길 부탁드립니다.

□ Chronicle of Every Thing

Chronicle of Every Thing is a web seminar for sharing the thoughts and suggestions of international thinkers in the age of pandemic and the anthropocene, having witnessed the crisis of the Western civilization based on on anthropocentric discourses.

The thinkers speculate on different ways of coexistence with non-human entities. By taking the Chinese traditional thinking as a start, Yuk Hui proposes the term Cosmotechnics to problematize the ambiguous boundaries between the mechanic and the ecological. Meanwhile, Kokubun Koichiro envisages a universe that pre-exists before the subject and the free will—a world where the event of the action precedes the subject of the action. Lee Jeong-woo reinterprets the concept of ‘joint of way’ mentioned in “The Adjustment of Controversies” by Zhuangzi via the notion of disjunctive synthesis. Choreographer Mårten Spångberg discusses about the links between his dance practices and the ideas of speculative materialism.

The event will be held both online and offline at the same time. The offline event at ‘Jeongdong 1928 Art Center Event Hall' is limited to 40 people for keeping a basic distance due to COVID-19 infection prevention. The online is conducted through ZOOM, and the number of audiences will be limited to 200.
