Sharmanka and Glasgow

Sharmanka is working on a programme of additional activities in Glasgow with a view to expanding its integration into the community as well as reaching out to audiences city-wide. We're looking for feedback from residents from all parts of the city about the following ideas and how beneficial these might be.

Performances of Sharmanka exhibitions in areas outside of Glasgow City Centre such as Easterhouse, Drumchapel, Govan, shopping malls, empty shop windows, community halls etc. *
Free performances for disadvantaged members of the community who may not be able to afford Sharmanka's shows at Trongate 103 (Glasgow). *
Creative workshops for families during school holidays and weekends. *
Additional events at Sharmanka (currently one per month) such as Music, Multilingual Song & Poetry events, Creative Writing Workshops and Multicultural Film Screenings. *
Improving our links with schools and colleges to introduce students to Sharmanka as a valuable educational resource, both culturally and technologically. *
Improving our social media presence to allow better interaction with local audiences as well as nationally & worldwide. *
Creating a new website as an improved source of information, which would be more user- and mobile phone-friendly. This would include online ticket sales to streamline the booking service and to improve audience experience. *
