COVID-19 Mask Exemption
Dear parent, carer or guardian,

As you may be aware, the Prime Minister announced new temporary measures put in place due to the new variant of COVID-19. The Omicron variant has understandably caused concern for people across the country, including our teachers, wider education and childcare staff as well as our students and families.

From today, the 29th November 2021, our school has taken the decision to reintroduce face masks to all areas of the school. Staff will be wearing face masks in all communal areas and classrooms with students and visitors being asked to wear face masks unless they are exempt with a diagnosed medical condition such as chronic asthma.

We are also strongly advising all students and staff to continue twice weekly testing using 'Lateral Flow Devices' (LFD tests). We will be sending out more LFD tests with students today and tomorrow and regularly supplying these. If your child does not manage to bring these home, please contact us on 0121 675 8989 and we will organise some for you.

For further information, please keep an eye on our website (www.reachschool.co.uk) or follow us on twitter (@ap_reach)

If your child has a diagnosed medical condition that a medical professional has agreed exemption, please can you fill in the below information and our pastoral team will be in contact with you as soon as possible to confirm any diagnosis.

Kind Regards

Jay Rawlings
