Orca Bowl 2020 Statement of Intent to Participate
Washington Sea Grant invites your high school to participate in ORCA BOWL – February 1, 2020. This program is the regional competition for the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB) and is held annually at the University of Washington. The first place team will be eligible to travel to and compete in the National Ocean Sciences Bowl Finals competition in April.

Please indicate your interest in having your team participate in this year's competition by filling out the form below.
Understand that completing this form does NOT constitute your final registration. Registration materials will be emailed to Coaches that submit this Statement of Intent to Participate and will be due December 6, 2019. Only upon submitting registration paperwork and the $150 registration fee* will your team's place in the competition be guaranteed.

Note that B team assignments will only be made after all A teams are registered.  We then select B teams in the order we receive your team's 'Statement of Intent' (these online responses) and following the guidelines in our B Team Policies (https://wsg.washington.edu/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/Orca-Bowl-BTeam-Policy.pdf).

*The team registration fee helps cover some costs of the competition however we hope that this does not prevent your team from registering, and encourage you to contact us for assistance in seeking local community sponsorship to support your team's participation if needed.

These responses, or 'statement of intent', will sign you up to receive the materials you will need to complete to officially register you for the competition. Please keep an eye out for these materials via email within a few days of your submitting this form. As mentioned above, all registration materials will need to be complete (online and hardcopy forms) postmarked NO LATER than December 6th. Anything postmarked after the 6th will lose their held space in the competition, and will only be eligible to compete if space becomes available.
Payment Information
Upon Registration, your team registration fee of $150 will be due.  If your district requires an invoice for this payment, please indicate that here, and one will be sent with Final Registration materials.
