Welcome to another great year at Barratt Elementary! Please read through the following expectations and policies, then enter your information at the bottom of the form.
Homework: Students record homework assignments daily. Expect a math and language arts assignment every night, Monday-Thursday. If you have questions about what your child has been assigned, check your child’s homework sheet located in his/her take home binder. In general, the following is expected:
Language arts: Nightly (M-Th) reading and response (responses are completed online).
Math: Nightly (M-Th) assignment.
Science: At home work on projects will be expected (information to follow).
Language Arts and Math homework is checked for completion daily.
Communication:
Email is the best form of communication for all three teachers. If a situation arises that you would like to discuss in person, please email the teacher you would like to speak with and schedule a time to meet before or after school.

Attendance:
Daily attendance is extremely important. Please support your child in being here on time.
If an absence is necessary, students are required to obtain and make-up missed work.
Personal Technology:
If a student brings an electronic device to school, it must remain in his/her backpack on silent mode. Teachers are not responsible for theft of or damage done to said device.
Snacks/Water Bottle: Water bottles are allowed and encouraged (water only). Teachers permit healthy, non-messy snacks to be consumed at specified times.
Birthdays: Please do not send/bring birthday treats. We celebrate each child’s birthday independent of treats.
