Activity - Workshop: “Possible Worlds: Looking at Chiang Mai's future through the lens of the SDGs”?

Join us for a morning of play and learning about the systems thinking underlying the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The activity involves the award winning SDG card game developed in Japan, discussions and optionally action planning. The workshop will take 2.5 -3 hours and will be in English and Thai - facilitation will mainly be in English but participants can play in Thai and some Thai translation and facilitation.

The workshop will consist of a briefing, a first round of the game, reflection, and the 2nd part of the game
(simulating time towards 2030), further reflections and discussions, action planning. Questions can be:
- Which goals do you think will be impacted by your organization's activities?"
- Which goals' achievement (or non-achievement) do you think will impact your organisation's (community, city) success and your ability to enjoy that success?"
- What can you do in your community to creat impact.?
Who can join? You! We welcome community leaders, ajarns, educators, entrepreneurs, public policy makers and civil servants.

More information about the game:
The 2030 SDGs Game is a multiplayer, in-person, card-based game that simulates
taking the “real world” into the year 2030. The game was
developed by well-known Japanese education game designer and has been played
thousands of times in over a dozen countries. The event will be facilitated by
by Mr. David Nevin, a Canadian facilitator based in Tokyo & Chiang Mai, and Martin Venzky-Stalling, Senior Advisor STeP, and experienced staff from CMU STeP, Creative Chiang Mai and the School of Public Policy.
