Join the Wanaka Biathlon Club Learn Biathlon Program this May in Wanaka.
This program, for school children from years 6/7/8, will teach the basics of the winter sport of biathlon (cross country skiing and shooting) and prepare them for the coming snow season at Snow Farm.
The program is in three parts, and is run on consecutive Wednesdays starting 1 May 2024.
The course will cover basic rifle safety and marksmanship (using the club's own laser rifles) and cross country skating technique and drills. The aim of the course is to show interested children a unique and exciting sport that they can take part in this winter.
The three week course costs $100 ($50 of which is to become a junior member of Wanaka Biathlon Club for the 2024 season).
