Hibiscus Coast is a competitive Waterpolo club.  Our aim is to win and continually improve our results, whilst developing players to the best of their abilities. As a member of Hibiscus Coast Water Polo Club, all players agree the following:­

• I will attend practices each week and will arrive on time and ready. If for some reason you cannot attend please contact your Manager prior to the practice session

• I will participate, concentrate and listen during all practice sessions. Your coach has given up their own time to improve your team performance ­ it is expected that you will give 100% to all practice sessions

• I will take personal responsibility for my level of fitness. We encourage additional fitness activities outside of water polo training to maximize your performance.

• I will respect the concepts of fair play and sportsmanship at all times, both in practice sessions and games.

• I will show respect for your team, the opposition team, players and officials, both in the pool and out. It is not acceptable at any stage to abuse members of your team during games, regardless of the issue.

• I will respect the decisions of the referee at all times, regardless of their level of ability. It is not acceptable to argue, question or display negative attitude towards the referee at any time. This also includes whilst supporting other club teams

• I will wear Hibiscus Coast uniform and  togs for all league games / tournaments and nationals

• When travelling to Tournaments, I will respect the surroundings of my accommodation and others who may be staying there at the same time.  

• I will respect all equipment provided by the club or tournament organisers.  Any neglectful or wilful damage caused, by any player (s), will be at the expense of the entire team, should the Club be unable to determine who was at fault, for the damage.

• I will be a drug free player, following the guidelines of drug free sport New Zealand anti­doping policies and New Zealand Water Polo’s and FINA regulations. I will not arrive at any venue intoxicated, impaired or drink alcohol at matches.

• I will refer media contact to the club chair or captain.

Please understand that, regardless of your ability, if you, without reason, do not meet the expectations of the club, coach and manager due to any of the above, your position in the team will be reviewed
