WCC Short-term Mentoring - MENTEE sign-up
This form is for signing up as a MENTEE for the WCC UK's Short-term Mentoring Scheme. The scheme matches mentees with a mentor for consultation on a specific issue by email for a short period of time, not to exceed three months. You will be matched with a mentor within two weeks, and your mentor has pledged to respond to your initial email within two weeks. You should contact your mentor as soon as possible after receiving their email address – they will be expecting your message. Please only consult your mentor about the issue that you signed up to the scheme for help with. Your mentor is not obliged to advise you on anything else. Please note that if you sign up for the scheme for help with an issue not listed on this form, we may not be able to match you with a mentor as quickly. Your mentor is likely to be busy; please be reasonable in how often and at what times you contact them, and how quickly you expect to receive a response. Full guidelines for the scheme can be viewed here: WCC mentoring guidelines. This scheme is for members of the WCC UK in good standing only; if you would like to sign up to the WCC UK, you can do so here: https://wcc-uk.blogs.sas.ac.uk/about-us/join-us/

Required
Please select the subject with which you would like mentoring support. We will do our best to match you with an appropriate mentor, but please note that we cannot guarantee availability of a mentor for all subjects, especially if you select 'other'. You may only choose one subject. (If you require mentoring across a broader range of subjects, you may want to try our Co-Mentoring Triad Scheme instead - please email the Mentoring Officer for more information.)   *
If you checked "Grant/funding applications", please specify here if you would like support with a specific funding scheme ( we will make every effort to match you with a suitable mentor, but cannot guarantee the availabilty of mentors with experience of specific schemes). Leave blank if you would like general support on any type of grant/funding applications.
If you checked "Equality, diversity & inclusion issues", please specify here the particular EDI issue on which you would like support (we will make every effort to match you with a suitable mentor, but please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of a mentor who is able to provide support on specific EDI topics).
How would you describe your career stage?
