- Must become a CRLA member if elected to office and maintain membership while in office.
- Self-nominations encouraged.
Open board positions:
President-Elect
The President-Elect assists the President and board to implement the current annual plan. Co-facilitates with president the development and implementation of the annual plan for the following year. Prepare for the duties of President for the succeeding year. Learn from the Past-President and President about CRLA paperwork and all duties. If the President is unable to fulfill their duties, the President-Elect will become the President.
Term of office: One year, followed by one year as President and one year as Past-President.
Benefit: Regional conference registration fee waived.
President Coordinates the annual conference. Collaborates with the members of the board to develop and implement an annual plan that includes communication and financial planning. Completes and submits biannual reports to parent organization CRLA. Completes and submits annual grant requests for supplementary funding. Schedules and chairs board meetings. Shares information with President-Elect on CRLA paperwork and other Presidential functions. Can write and sign checks for authorized expenditures with the exclusion of reimbursing oneself. Term of office: One year. Benefit: Regional conference registration fee waived; may apply for discounted registration at national CRLA conference
