2023 NARM Lightning Talk Application
Thank you for your interest in presenting a Lightning Talk at the 2023 Virtual GLOBE North American Regional Meeting. A Lightning Talk is a very short presentation lasting only a few minutes. It is an opportunity to give a brief, dynamic presentation on a discrete, innovative strategy, approach, practice, or tool. Each day of the NARM will revolve around a specific strand and Lightning Talks should fall under one of these:
  • Wednesday, 01 November: Interactions and collaborations among local, regional and international communities (Community Goal 2) (can include how to develop collaborations, processes, case studies, challenges and triumphs; alumni engagement; teacher/school engagement and/or supports, Indigenous knowledge in GLOBE and promoting Indigenous participation, etc.)
  • Thursday, 02 November: GLOBE impact and outcomes in the North American regional community: Communities of Practice and Examples (Evaluation Goal 4) (may include Working Group activities and feedback, trainer-mentor-trainer, GLOBE impact in the classroom/informal settings, evaluation do’s and don’t, etc.)
  • Friday, 03 November: Expanding our GLOBE Networks (Community Goal 1) (May be a stand-alone lightning talk or could be linked to a mini-professional development session during the NARM synchronous discussion time period. Can also include supporting those with disabilities, cross-network collaborations, scientific collaborations e.g., satellite imagery and data)
