Communications Events and Subcommittee
Membership in the subcommittee is a volunteer role with a focus on creating events aimed to support and educate BIPOC publishing
professionals and entails managing the social media and newsletter. Each subcommittee would support one of the following co-chairs:
Events Co-chair
· Organizing
and planning events
· Leading
meetings with the Communications and Events Subcommittee members
· Updating the website Blog and posting the
newsletter
Communications Co-chair
· Pulling
together the monthly POC in publishing newsletter
· Managing
POC in Pub Twitter and coordinating posts with Events Co-chair and POC in Pub's
Social Media team
· Working
with the Communications and Events Subcommittee advisor to coordinate Social
Media posts
· Leading meetings
with the Communications and Events Subcommittee members
Developmental Co-chair
· Taking
the lead on subcommittee’s internal structure and management including
scheduling meetings and agendas and taking meeting minutes.
· Heading
subcommittee recruitment efforts
· Coordinating
with the Events Co-chair on event planning
· Updating
the website blog and working with the Communications chair on posting the
newsletter
· Leading
meetings with the Communications and Events Subcommittee members
