First-Gen Chisme College Prep Summer Mentorship 2023 ✨

First-Gen Chisme is offering free college-prep summer mentorship virtual meetings for rising junior/senior high school students. We are dedicated to supporting First-generation and Low-income students who are exploring their next steps upon graduation from high school. 

Rising junior/senior high school students will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a First-Gen mentor that can help with the college application process. We work with students in all sorts of levels within their applications, for example we offer help in: 

-College + Major Researching: Not sure where you want to attend or what you want to study? No worries! We have all been there. We are here to help!

-College Applications Preparations: We help start preparing the materials needed for when you apply to college this school year! Such as essay brainstorming sessions + revisions, how to ask for recommendation letters from your professors, art portfolio reviews and much more! 

-Scholarship Research + Tips on Applying to Scholarships: We offer guidance on our Scholarships Application Guide! 

-General Advice + Guidance: We are here to support in any way possible! If you are anxious about college or simply feeling overwhelmed by it all, we completely understand. That’s why we are here to support at no-cost to be most accessible to all students in need.
