Seed Generation Registration Form
Red Fox Healthy Living Society and Environmental Youth Alliance invite you to join our Seed Generation Spring Cohort Outdoor Program (February 2 - May 25th, 2022).  Come join a group of like-minded youth who are passionate about nature stewardship and recreation! Grow your personal health, community health, and East Vancouver's ecological health!

Get hands-on volunteer experience growing native plants and restoring habitat in East Vancouver (Strathcona Gardens and Renfrew Ravine). Meet new friends and have fun adventures in nature!

Enjoy weekly recreation outings. Go biking, canoeing and trail walking  at local and regional parks. Try indoor rock climbing and other active adventures.  Help lead active play programs for children at local schools and community centres.

Youth participating in this 14-week program will gain volunteer service hours they can count as high school credits, a certificate of 120 service hours completed, and an honorarium of up to $200 for participating.

This free program is open to youth aged 14-18.

Red Fox and EYA are committed to keeping our participants safe and we are following all recommended guidelines from the BC Health Authority.

Recreation outings begin on February 2, 2022. In-person outdoor programs begin on February 26th, 2022. The  following health and safety measures will be in place:

* 2-metre physical distancing at all times
* face masks required (provided by Red Fox & EYA)
* no sharing of gloves or tools
* free snacks and individual lunches
* smaller group sizes (2 groups of 8-10 youth)
* Youth who are unvaccinated or don't disclose their vaccination status can participate in online activities in lieu of the recreation outings.

Mandatory Information Zoom Session: Monday, January 31s, at 5pm or 6pm

Garden Sessions: February 26th - May 14th, 2022
Saturdays 11am- 3:30pm

Recreation Outings: February 2nd - May 24th, 2022
Wednesdays 4-7pm
