Plan Summary: Our plan of implementing our Covid-19 Community Circles of Healing is to seek participants who have been impacted with a loss due to Covid 19 through community partnering agencies. Impact of loss could be loss of a family member or members, loss of employment, loss of housing, loss of community, loss of learning, and/or loss of stability. We will have licensed counselors supporting the Healing Circles in a safe and confidential environment who have experienced shared collective loss and trauma.
Our Goal: Our goal is to increase the wellness and quality of life for those who have experienced impacts of Covid related to loss. Loss can be self reported and can be objective. After completing the groups, participants will have an increased sense of community, increased tools to support their healing, increased wellness and health, increased sense of empowerment, and an increased quality of life.
Continued Support: Participants who wish to continue being supported will be connected to individual therapy services through NACAHC organization.
Materials: Food, drinks, and resources will be provided at no cost.
Funding source: We are grateful to be a recipient of the Covid-19 Relief Fund Project mini-grant through JSI Research and Training Institute. This funding supports these groups.
