Cadence Park PTSA is hosting an evening of celebration learning about adolescence, puberty, and growing up in the auditorium.
The combined female and male adolescence celebration with breakout sessions focused on male and female bodies will be held on Wednesday, March 13th from 6 PM until 8 PM. A trusted adult(s) of any gender is welcome to attend this lively and informative event with their student. Suggested grades for the female adolescence talk is for 4th, 5th and 6th and for the male adolescence talk is for 5th, 6th and 7th but if you feel your child can benefit from this talk feel free to join regardless of their grade level.
In a comfortable and relaxed environment, participants are guided through a learning experience that will ease anxieties about puberty, empower them to understand, embrace and celebrate physical and emotional changes, and help initiate important, honest and on-going conversations at home.
These presentations will be facilitated by our own teachers, Nana Ito and Reed Buck. Nana teaches middle school math and Reed teaches middle school science and health and they are both founders of Cadence Park School PEACE. Dr. Tran-Kim will also be present to answer any medical related questions.
Please Note:
Dinner will be served before the event (sandwiches, fruit, dessert, and beverages)
Goodie bags with personal hygiene items will be provided to all students in attendance.
