Workshop Details:

• Chang-Hui Shen, Ph.D.; Professor and Chair, Biology Department; CUNY Graduate Center, Ph.D.
Program Criteria:
• Attend an accredited high school.
• Be a high school junior OR senior.
• Be a current student attending CSI.
• Meet minimum academic standards (85.00 Grade Point Average, or higher, unweighted and 600 Math SAT).
• Students must have completed one year of high school Biology.
No Advanced Placement (AP) in Biology and/or Chemistry course necessary.
Size of Program:
• 24 Seats available.
• Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Students who have attended a Biology/MDT Infosesssion and Lab Tour will be given special consideration.
• Accepted participants are expected to promptly respond to our offer.
Cost: $300 lab fee to cover materials (compared to $3,000.00 and higher workshop tuition at other colleges/universities). Check or money order payable to College of Staten Island, which will be collected on 2/20/2020, the first day of the workshop.
Dates/When: February 20–April 9, 2020 (Thursdays only, for 8 weeks) from 4:00–6:00 PM (combination lecture and lab)
