El Dia -  Preparing for a Dynamic Workshop Session

Hi Everyone,

We're thrilled to connect with you as we gear up for the exciting El Día del Agua y la Atmósfera on March 19, 2024, from 8 am to 6 pm at the University of Arizona’s ENR2 Building.

For more information about the event, please visit our website. To secure your spot and enjoy a complimentary lunch, kindly register for the event at https://forms.gle/VBEyvY5j1hCGqgFS6.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the afternoon, we'll host a World Café session, bringing together students and attendees to discuss, envision, connect, and innovate the future of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences. To kickstart the workshop session and ensure a dynamic and engaging discussion, we'll begin by framing the questions in a way that encourages active participation and diverse perspectives.

Your input will serve as the foundation for our workshop discussions, ensuring that we address the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing our field. To facilitate the collection of your responses, we've prepared a Google Form where you can share your thoughts confidentially. Please take a moment to complete the form before the workshop.

We encourage you to provide as much detail as possible and to engage with each question thoughtfully. Your contributions will enrich our collective understanding and pave the way for innovative solutions.

Thank you for your participation, and we look forward to seeing you at El Día!

What do you think the major emphasis of a re-imagined HAS undergraduate degree should be?
If you were tasked with defining the core curriculum for all MS programs in hydrogeology, what are the most important things to include?  What should be left out that might be surprising?  Do you have recruiting ideas for a redefined MS in hydrogeology?
How can we encourage more students to consider HAS as an undergraduate major?
We are hoping to raise funds to help to support a highly competitive professor of practice position to run the one year MS in hydrogeology.  Can you propose any possible sources of financial support that we might not have considered?
