Submit an expression of interest to join the cast of Kirsty Budding's adaptation of Jane Austen's classic 'Pride and Prejudice'. This production will be produced as a radio play to be broadcast on ArtSound FM and thereafter available to stream for free on various platforms.

Actors require excellent Received Pronunciation (RP Accents) for most roles (servants may have regional accents).
Actors will be advantaged if they can play more than one role.
Actors may be beginners or experienced. Casting is based on voice samples.
Rehearsals will be outside of business hours. There may be a mix of face-to-face and Zoom sessions in the lead up to the recording.
DEADLINE for submission of this form and voice samples: Midnight Sunday 11th June.

How to Apply

Choose a minimum of TWO DIFFERENT CHARACTERS from the play and record yourself playing each (Approx. 1 page of dialogue each). You may choose two scenes and ask another person to read the other lines for you, or you may play all roles yourself. There is no limit on how many characters you submit a voice sample for; you may submit for as many files as you like. PLEASE RECORD IN A COMMON FORMAT such as MP3, MP4 or WAV and make sure your voice is clear.
LABEL each voice sample file with your NAME and the ROLE or ROLES you are reading for in the sample.

I understand the terms and consent to this agreement: All roles are voluntary and volunteers are expected to respect and work collaboratively and positively with other participants. As a condition of joining the cast, you consent to you (or your Child, if completing this form for an Under 18) appearing in Budding Entertainment and ArtSound FM photography, audio and videography in connection with the event and company in perpetuity and relinquish all rights to said materials, including but not limited to public promotion via any medium and online sharing of photos, audio and videos. Cast members must honour rehearsal and show commitments and follow instructions to ensure everyone's safety and wellbeing. Any issues or incidents must be reported immediately in writing to the Director of Budding Entertainment. Budding Entertainment reserves the right to remove a person from the production if they do not meet these expectations.
