Elevated Woman: Black History Month Celebration

Elevate Resiliency, in partnership with IRIS Institute, invite you to nominate an Elevated Woman for our Community Impact Awards and Black History Month Celebration.

We are hosting a Black History Month presentation focusing on the present and future to display Black excellence, achievement and resilience. We will highlight women who have overcome adversities, elevated their wellness and well-being, and positively impacted the experiences of others in Scarborough. Through this event, we hope to discuss issues Black women in Scarborough's face and celebrate the contributions the diverse Black community has and continues to make to Toronto and Canadian culture as a whole.

An Elevated Woman is a woman who has taken her challenges and created more opportunities for herself and others. She has taken the stones that life has thrown and built a foundation of self-love. She has taken those lemons and created a delicious citrus cocktail. She hasn’t allowed her circumstances to overcome her ability to create beauty in the world.

Nominations close February 9th at 5 pm EST.
