WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are blessed with a very large Faith Formation Program at St. Mary’s Church, with almost 500 students! Our programs are completely dependent on our parents and volunteers who share their time, talent, and treasure to support the spiritual growth of our young people. Please prayerfully consider serving in one of the capacities listed below. All volunteers must complete VIRTUS (adults) or Worthy of the Call (ages 14+ teens) child protection training and eligibility.

Family Faith Formation Catechist (Teacher) leads the PK-Grade 8 children’s session twice each month. Ideally, you will be paired with a co-catechist to teach with you.

Family Faith Formation Class Aide (adult or teen) supports catechists during class, such as taking attendance and other tasks

Family Faith Formation Substitute Catechist leads a children’s session when a catechist is not available.

Hospitality volunteer helps with coffee and snacks during the family faith formation LIFT sessions.

RCIA Adapted for Children Catechist (Teacher) leads children becoming Catholic prepare for the sacraments of initiation.

Middle School Youth Ministry Adult Team Members: Male and female adults help lead, teach, guide, and mentor high school teens in various Youth Ministry programs/activities.

High School Youth Ministry Adult Team Members: Male and female adults help lead, teach, guide, and mentor high school teens in various Youth Ministry programs/activities.

First Reconciliation (Confession) Retreat Station Leader explains an activity during the retreat to help families prepare for the sacrament.

First Eucharist (Communion) Retreat Station Leader explains an activity during the retreat to help families prepare for the sacrament.

Confirmation Team Member: Male and female adults help lead, teach, guide, and mentor high school teens in their preparation for Confirmation.
