As part of your application, we would like to ask you to write a short policy statement on your behalf on one of the topics of your committee’s agenda. (up to 400 words) *
You are free to choose one of the country you woud like to represent in the Security Council. After them, you should write the statement relying on the position of any country. The statement must be based on concrete arguments, supporting the position. Your writing must analyze the issue from political, economic and social aspects. We would like to kindly remind you that this statement is your personal work, so any plagiarism is unacceptable.                                                                                                         The topics of the Security Council:                                                                                                                                                                     1.Territorial claims of Turkey, Greece and Cyprus around the Eastern Mediterranean. The role of the EU in ensuring of refugees’ access to the territory and asylum procedures of the EU Member States in the context of irregular migration and exiting territorial disputes.                                                                                                                                                                        2.Displacement as the factor triggering children’s involvement into armed conflict: challenges, solutions and cooperation of the UN Member States to prevent forced recruitment of children.
