Dear Band Director,
It is our pleasure to officially invite you and your band to perform in the 16th Annual LSN Marching Band Invitational, as well as our Indoor Drumline (stand still only) and Indoor Color Guard Festival, to be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Our field show competition will take place on our FieldTurf surface in Bronco Stadium.

Please complete the form as soon as possible (no later than September 1, 2021). Once we have confirmed your registration, we will send you an invoice to pay the fees. A confirmation letter will be mailed/emailed to all registered schools as soon as our performance list is compiled.

Adjudication: Several judges will be used for band (some in box and some on the field). One percussion judge will be used for the indoor drumline competition. (stand still only) One judge will be used for the indoor color guard competition. Written comments will be available the day of the festival and recorded comments will be available via box.com or some similar format.

Band Classification: Based on band size (3 classes).
Indoor Drumline/Color Guard Classification: Based on group size (2 classes).

Weather: Field marching competition may be suspended at any time for unsafe weather conditions. If the field competition is suspended, bands will perform indoors for exhibition only. We will keep you informed at all times. All fees paid will not be refunded due to Festival expenses.

Field Show Time limits: 15 minutes (including entrance and exit)
Exhibition Band: Lee’s Summit North High School will be the final band of the festival and will not compete.

Format: This will be a single (prelims-only) performance format.
Registration deadline: All entry forms and fees need to be postmarked by September 1, 2018. Please contact me directly if we are past the deadline date and you are looking for a festival for your band to showcase their talents.

Time-Table
The Invitational begins in the afternoon and the drumline/color guard competition will run concurrently with the Field competition. Awards for all indoor drumline/color guard competition and field show competitions will be held in the stadium. If we have 20 bands or more, we will do two awards presentations to allow the parking lot and stadium to clear a little bit for the later arriving and performing bands.

Concessions
Concessions will be on sale in the stadium concession stand and at the indoor competition. We encourage you and your students to support our concessions. Concession proceeds will help to keep our festival an annual and successful
event for us all.

Indoor Drumline (stand still only) and Color Guard Festival
We also offer an indoor drumline and color guard contest in the high school field house. Each group will be limited to 12 minutes, including entrance and exit. You may participate competitively or for critique, only. Written comments will be available the day of the festival and recorded comments will be available via Dropbox or some similar format. There will be 2 classes for the indoor drumline (stand still only)/color guard competition based on band size.
