UWC Intro Presentation: Our intro presentation takes about 10 minutes and gives a brief who, what, when, where, how, and why of the UWC. We are happy to accommodate both in-person and virtual intro presentations. 

Writing Workshops: We have several writing workshops available upon request. One to two UWC representatives can provide these on location in your class or in the UWC, if the space is available. Some customization of standard workshops can be accommodated. Because of high demand, classroom workshops are limited to four sessions per instructor, per semester (not including the UWC Intro Presentation). We may have difficulty booking appointments before 9am and after 7pm Central Time on Mondays-Thursdays and before 9am and after 5pm Central Time on Fridays due to consultant availability. We are not available on weekends or holidays. 

Current workshop topics include the following:

• Personal Statements (60 minutes) 

• Mock Tutoring Session (30 minutes) 

• MLA Citation and Formatting (30 minutes) 

• Concise Writing (15 minutes) 

Before placing a request, we ask that you read our policies:

• At least one week’s notice is required to schedule a UWC Intro Presentation, though some requests can be made with less lead time if resources are available. 

• Customized classroom presentations may require more than two weeks’ lead time. 

• Excluding the UWC Intro Presentation, instructors are limited to four workshop requests per semester, across all sections. 

• We cannot guarantee the first choice of date. 

• An instructor, assistant, or organization representative must be present during presentations and workshops. 

• Presentations and workshops are limited to groups larger than 5.
