Candidates must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for acceptance into this program.  

Those seeking certification status must first submit an application and resume to the SCCED Selection
Committee for consideration and approval. The maximum number of qualified students for the next class will be
limited to 12.

Pre-qualifying requirements
• Current SCEDA member in good standing
• A majority of daily job responsibilities committed to economic development activities
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in economic development, or
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in economic development and completion of EDI* or four (4) years
  experience and completion of SCEDI/BEDC
*Completion within the past five (5) years.
