Great news; you want to foster a cat or kitten for us! We just need to get a few details from you before we arrange a virtual home visit (please have photos/videos of your home ready to speed up the process!)

Fostering is the temporary care of an animal while we find it a new permanent home. Cats will need to be kept indoors for the duration of their foster placement (unless under exceptional circumstances), therefore a garden isn't always necessary. We are always looking for short and long term foster homes for a variety of cats who will benefit from foster care rather than extended periods in our cattery. Our fosterers are required to sign a foster agreement.

Whilst our cats are in your foster care, you will be required to:
• Provide them with care, suitable housing, and a safe environment as per our policies and guidelines.
• Feed, water, and groom them in line with our advice.
• Transport them to any veterinary appointments if required, though we mostly do this.
• Provide them with your time and patience, playing and cuddles are also a must!
• Help us spread the word about the cats in your care so they might find their forever home quicker.
• Maintain regular contact and update our Animal Welfare officers on the cats you are fostering.

Please note that we will require 2 references, please have two referees ready (and permission for us to contact them) for when one of our animal welfare officers gets in touch.

Due to travel times and the location of the vets we use we are only able to recruit foster carers who live within or very close to our branch area. Our branch area postcode list: N2, N3, N12, N6 4, N11 9, N20 0, NW11, NW2 2, NW2 1, NW4, NW7, NW8 1, NW9 4, NW9 5, NW9 6, HA8, HA7 4.

We aim to cover the cost of all reasonable expenses for the cat while in your care (i.e veterinary treatment, food, litter) and where possible will provide bedding, toys and scratch posts.
