Are you interested in teaching a textile workshop at Ragfinery? We would love to have you on our schedule! Please fill out the form below and let us know what kind of class you're hoping to teach. Class schedules are released on a quarterly basis (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer), and once a seasonal schedule is finalized we begin planning for the next quarter. We have limited capacity for workshops each quarter, but our goal is to diversify our courses with a variety of techniques, media, and skill levels.
For our Spring and Summer 2025 schedules, we are especially seeking the following:- Low-mess, kid-friendly workshops (especially for summer!)
- Hand embroidery
- Beginner-friendly machine sewing projects
- All levels of apparel sewing, including patternmaking and tailoring
- Copying or creating a pattern from an existing garment
- All levels of quilting
- Workshops focusing on artistic exploration via textiles
Please note that we cannot accommodate any of the following activities in our classroom space. Occasionally we are able to coordinate classes to be held in other facilities, but we cannot guarantee availability (suggestions are always welcome!):
- Any kind of fabric or fiber dyeing
- Any kind of fabric painting or marbling
- Classes requiring large equipment (such a floor looms, industrial machines, etc.)
If you have an idea for a workshop that isn't reflected in the list above, we encourage you to submit your proposal anyway!
