UBC Dance Club offers international style ballroom and swing dance classes taught by professional instructors, and runs multiple social dances and events.
Winter dance classes will start late September/early October (official dates pending) Classes will run weekly for 9 weeks. See the registration sections below for specific class timings.
We will be offering 4 classes, with 3 different levels of ballroom classes:
Intermediate Swing Classes on Tuesdays (Lindy Hop Swing with Simon and Laura, West Coast Swing with Zoltan and Yuka)
*Registration for the Intermediate Class is not permitted if you have not previously enrolled in the Beginner Class in the first semester. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis by the instructor or executive team. If you would like to enroll directly in intermediate, please speak to the executive team or instructor.
Newcomer Classes on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with Zillion, Joel and Kyryl respectively.
Intermediate Class on Wednesday with Kyryl.

Advanced Class on Mondays with Murray.
*Registration for the Advanced Class is not permitted if you have not previously enrolled in the Intermediate Class. Exceptions are made on a case by case basis by the instructor or executive team. If you would like to enroll directly in advanced, please contact the executive team or instructor.
If you are going to take classes with us, you will need to purchase a membership first.
- If you are an AMS student taking a class with us the membership fee is $10.
- If you are an Alumni/Community, you will need to pay $20. If you are purchasing membership with classes, you are eligible for a $10 membership fee.
