Open Science Hack - IoT 28-29 april
Welcome to the second Open.Science.Hack, a 24-hour hackathon that is organised at Linnaeus University with open science as a theme. This year, Internet of Things is in focus.

A hackathon is an event where programmers meet to programme and to be inspired by each other. Sometimes under free forms, sometimes with specific themes or goals.

Develop your knowledge in Internet of Things
This hackathon is a great opportunity for you to develop your knowledge in the area of Internet of Things. You do not need to be a computer engineer to participate – if you bring great curiosity and a will to learn, you will be able to create wonders together with your team members.

With support from experienced teachers and students from Linnaeus University, as well as developers from Pycom, you will have the opportunity to test your own idea and a practical application of a connected device. You will be able to use LoRa and SigFox, or NB-IoT (LTE) or Wifi/Bluetooth, depending on what idea you want to test.
Do you already have an idea of something you want to connect? A business idea that you need help testing or realising? You will have access to 3D printers and a wealth of sensors. Sponsors will be offering food and coffee, and a basic hardware package will be included.

We will start on Tuesday 28/4 at 9.00 am with registration and a matchmaking event where we hope to be able to build teams where professionals, students and students meet. For you from the industry, it is a perfect opportunity to meet tomorrow's employees.
The teams will then be given the opportunity to get some inspiration to get started. They will then have a little less than 24 hours to come up with and develop an idea.
On Wednesday 29/4 at 11.00 am, everyone will gather again to present the results of the work to a jury.
