City Farm SLO will be holding THREE Summer 2023 YEP Cohorts! All sessions will be held from 9 AM - 1 PM on the following dates:
- Thursday, June 20rd
- Monday, June 24th
- Tuesday, June 25th
- Wednesday, June 26th
- Thursday, June 27th - (Graduation ceremony 12:30pm-1:00pm - families are encouraged to attend!)
SUMMER COHORT 2:
- Monday, July 8th - (Family Farm Tour 9am-9:45am)
- Tuesday, July 9th
- Wednesday, July 10th
- Thursday, July 11th
- Monday, July 15th
- Tuesday, July 16th
- Wednesday, July 17th
- Thursday, July 18th - (Graduation ceremony 12:30pm-1:00pm - families are encouraged to attend!)
SUMMER COHORT 3:
-Monday, July 22th - (Family Farm Tour 9am-9:45am)
-Tuesday, July 23th
-Wednesday, July 24th
-Thursday, July 25th
-Monday, July 29th
-Tuesday, July 30th
-Wednesday, July 31 st
-Thursday, August 1st - (Graduation ceremony 12:30pm-1:00pm - families are encouraged to attend!)
YEP Students will participate in 90 minutes of farm work during each session and will be compensated $25/session for their work (total of $200 for 8 sessions).
Upon graduation from the program, students will have the opportunity to apply for a paid Summer 2025 Internship at City Farm SLO.
Requirements/Qualifications to apply:
- Must be between the ages 14-17 years old
- Must have transportation to and from City Farm SLO (1221 Calle Joaquin, San Luis Obispo)
- If transportation is an issue, please let us know immediately and we can help.
- We have a carpooling spreadsheet if need/ can offer carpooling with other students! (
- Preference will be given to students that can attend all sessions in each cohort.

Los estudiantes de YEP participarán en 90 minutos de trabajo agrícola durante cada sesión y recibirán una compensación de $25 por sesión por su trabajo (un total de $200 por 8 sesiones).
Al graduarse del programa, los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de solicitar una pasantía remunerada de verano de 2024 en City Farm SLO.
Requisitos/Calificaciones para aplicar:
- Debe tener entre 14 y 17 años
- Debe tener transporte hacia y desde City Farm SLO (1221 Calle Joaquin, San Luis Obispo)
- Si el transporte es un problema, infórmenos de inmediato y podemos ayudarlo.
- Se dará preferencia a los alumnos que puedan asistir a todas las sesiones de cada cohorte.
