OVERVIEW

The Inclusion Initiative of the Year Award is designed to recognise clubs, individuals or organisations who take significant steps to attract, welcome or include people with a disability, cultural or diverse backgrounds or indigenous communities into their club activities.

CRITERIA

Nominations should consider the following criteria with evidence provided (note: evidence refers to a 200 word maximum description regarding the nomination):

• Have undertaken the nominated inclusive initiative during the 2018-19 year
• Demonstrate initiative in removing barriers towards participation
• Impact of Initiative on participation
• Development of pathways into sustainable participation
• Support through a whole of club approach

Supporting evidence should relate to activity and achievements of the past 12 months.

Nominated clubs must be a Victorian financial affiliated member.  

NOMINATION PROCESS

Golf Australia will call for nominations from its members. Golf Clubs may be nominated by a club representative, staff, management, PGA Club/Teaching Professionals or other person with detailed knowledge of the club’s success. All nominations shall be submitted via the online nomination form and accompanied by a supporting letter from the Golf Club (Management or Director) along with a colour photo of the club, individual or organisation.

Nominations close 14th June 2019.

SELECTION PROCESS

Each nomination will be reviewed by the Award Selection Panel who will determine finalists and eventual winner.

The Award Selection Panel will consist of representatives from various industry bodies.

AWARD PRESENTATION

The winner will be announced at the 2019 Victorian Golf Industry Awards Dinner on Friday 9 August at The Arts Centre Melbourne.

Two representatives from each of four finalist Clubs, will be invited to the Victorian Golf Industry Awards dinner as guests of Golf Australia.

Please note: Awards night invitation for finalists does not include accommodation or travel allowance.
