1. Acting (Topics): An in-depth study of selected acting styles. The purpose of this series
is to give students the opportunity to learn various specific acting techniques not taught in the basic acting sequence. Topics covered might include voice-over and oral interpretation techniques, Absurdist acting techniques, Commedia, chamber theatre and movement theatre or methods.

2. Advanced Stage Management: The purpose of this course is to expose students to the advanced aspects and techniques of Stage Management through seminar and practical course work. The seminar portion serves as a forum for peer sharing and problem solving on rotating topics that are specific to the stage management profession and industry trends. The practical portion of the course hones technical skills needed to be a successful Stage Manager.

3. Arts Administration (Topics): An in-depth study of selected areas of Arts Administration. The purpose of this series is to give students the opportunity to learn about the business side of the Performing Arts. Topics covered might include Arts Leadership, Finance, Fundraising, How to start a theatre company, Marketing or Producing.

4. Community Theatre: This course explores designing theatre for community impact and will have both seminar and practical components. Seminar topics will include Amatuerism, Audience Development, Accessibility/Universal Design in Theatre, Community Partnerships, and Theatre for Young Audiences. The practical component of the course will include engaging with youth and/or adults from the surrounding community to produce a performance.

5. Devised Theatre: This course engages students in an experiential study of devised theatre, a contemporary practice wherein a creative team (including actors, designers, writers, dramaturgs, and often a director) collaboratively create an original performance without a pre-existing script.

6. Shakespeare Global and Local: This interdisciplinary course will be co-taught by the English and Theatre Programs. Topics covered might include Controversies surrounding Shakespeare, History of Shakespeare's time, Inclusion.Diversity.Equity.Access through Shakespeare, Shakespeare plays and themes that resonate with current events and text analysis from literary and performance perspectives.

7. Teaching Artistry: This course engages students to develop the core capabilities of a Teaching Artist. Coursework provides methods and materials used in teaching students about the elements of theatre, as well as how to guide students through the production process. There will be exploration of the application of drama structures and activities as tools for developing and enlivening any curriculum, by building classroom community and collaborative exchange.

8. Theatre History (Topics): An in-depth study of selected cultures or eras of theatre history. These courses examine the history and culture as well as performance style and design/technology innovations of the culture/era being studied. Topics covered might include Absurdism, Ancient Greece, Global Majority Theatre History, Elizabethan/Jacobean English Theatre, Japanese Theatre, Melodrama, or the Spanish Golden Age.

9. Theatre Technology (Topics): An introduction to areas of Theatre Technology and Production Crafts. Topics covered might include: scene painting, advanced costume crafts and production problems in electrics and audio. The purpose of this series is to enable a student to execute a specific product idea based on a theatrical design.

10. Writing for Performance (Topics): Each topics course provides an in-depth study and application of writing skills for specific venues. Topics covered could include playwriting, screenwriting, writing adaptations and libretto development.
