Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Alliance Française de Chicago! We depend on our volunteers to support numerous programs, including the Médiathèque, Cultural Events, and Children's Classes.

The requirements for the program are as follows:

- Be at least 18 years of age (some opportunities require age 21+)
- Have a current membership with the Alliance Française de Chicago
- Adhere to the Volunteer Best Practices

Most volunteer opportunities take place during the evening or on weekends. However, a limited number of daytime opportunities also exist.

One unique benefit of volunteering with the Alliance Française de Chicago is the ability to earn points for time spent volunteering. Points are earned at a rate of 1 point per hour. Points may be cashed in to cover the cost of a language class (40 points) or a membership renewal (20 points). Please note that a class must have at least 4 paid students in order for a volunteer to be enrolled.
