The INSTITUTE FOR JAZZ STUDIES at Bellas Artes School of Music is pleased to partner with Delmark Records and JazzUp Glen Ellyn to present a free clinic with Delmark recording artist, JazzUp Glen Ellyn featured performer and AACM member Ernest Dawkins.


At Bellas Artes we have a desire to see improvisation included as a basic part of a holistic music education and so it is a HUGE PRIVILEGE for us to host this masterclass with Ernest Dawkins who so embodies the world of improvised music.

This event will give you an opportunity to hear, meet, and learn from Main Stage performers from Glen Ellyn's JazzUp Festival!  How cool is that?!

Join this FREE clinic and celebrate the Free Jazz movement evolving collective cultural memory of the American Jazz aesthetic. Open to all but please register in advance so we know you are coming!
