Tomah Mountain Outfitters - Maine Black Bear Hunt
This is a semi guided Maine Black Bear hunt at Tomah Mountain Outfitters located in Topsfield, ME

Trip Details:
  1. We will depart from the Band of Heroes Outdoors Headquarters on August 31st and return on September 8th
  2. We will start hunting on September 2nd - September 7th
  3. Hunting will take place only in the evenings from around 2pm til dark
  4. You will be hunting from a ladder stand or ground blind
  5. Each veteran will be paired with a cameraman
  6. We will draw 2 veterans for this hunt
  7. Limit - 1 black bear per person
Gear to bring:
  • Light weight camo pants and jacket (Average temp (2023) - H 78 L 50)
  • Camo Rain Gear
  • Camo hat
  • Boots
  • Bug repellent/TermaCell
  • Sleeping Bag
  • Pillow 
  • Rifle/Bow
  • Ammo/Arrows/Bolts
  • Towel/Wash Cloth
  • Drivers License 
  • Toiletries 
  • Maine Hunting License (We reimburse you for the cost of your hunting license)
Your responsibilities:
  • Maine Hunting License  (We reimburse you for the cost of your hunting license)
  • Transportation to the Band of Heroes Outdoors Headquarters (3029 Valley Road, Fishertown, PA 15539)
  • If selected for this trip, upon arrival at BOHO headquarters, you must provide a proper valid ID and a copy of your DD214. If you will be meeting the BOHO members at the outfitters, proper valid ID and copy of DD214 must be provided at least 2 weeks prior to trip.

    If you're a Reserve/Guard member please provide valid ID and a copy of your DD256.
