-Late work will be accepted for 2 weeks after the date the assignment is turned in. After these two weeks, the late assignment will be deducted 20%.
-Students can turn in their late assignments up until five days before the end of the semester.
**I reserve the right to work with students on an individual basis.

Absent Work Policy:
-Students will have two weeks to make up the work they missed (assignments, tests, quizzes) due to an excused absence for full credit. Anything that is turned in after one week becomes late work.
-It is the student’s responsibility to go to Canvas to see what they missed and do it at home.
-This includes students who are quarantined!!

Movies/Videos:
This semester we will be watching video clips and some full movies. Most of the movies are documentaries that enhance student learning. Some are marked as NR or PG. If movie permission is not given, an alternative assignment will be given to students and they will work in another classroom.
Some movies we will be watching this semester include: "One More Mountain", "The Candy Bomber", "The Golden Spike", and "We Shall Remain".

Canvas:
This semester, all assignments and activities will be found on Canvas. If students are working from home this semester, they will need to check Canvas daily. Students will login using their Student ID and password at https://wsd.instructure.com/. STUDENTS ARE STILL EXPECTED TO COMPLETE ASSIGNMENTS ON CANVAS IF QUARANTINED.

Chromebooks:
-Each student will be assigned a Chromebook. Students who damage Chromebooks or textbooks (whether intentionally or by negligence) will be responsible for the costs.
-Those who misuse Chromebooks (e. g. accessing inappropriate websites, playing games, or using the Chromebook for non-educational purposes) will lose Chromebook privileges during class.

Textbooks:
-Our textbook is titled, "The Utah Journey". Students will have access to an online copy on Canvas.
