Required
What is your relationship to food? Is it a source of stress? *
Have you ever been on a diet? *
How do you talk about your body and weight? Look at your word choices. Your body hears everything you think and say. You would be devastated to have someone call you fat, so why do you say it to yourself? Your body hears it and takes it in on an emotional level. Encourage yourself to start using positive self-talk, like “I’m not where I want to be but I’m working to get there,” “I’m working to be healthier.” *
Do you reference what you don’t like about your physical appearance? *
Do you restrict yourself with food? e.g. cut out whole food groups etc. *
Do you use food to reward or comfort yourself at the end of a long, challenging day? Explain how, why and when. *
How often do you eat on-the-go? Write down how many times roughly you would a day/week. *
How often do you sit down to savour and enjoy your meals as a family? *
How do you feel about cooking? What do you enjoy about it, and what do you not enjoy? *
Do you give your body time to recognise when you’re full and satisfied? *
How do you approach talking about food with your family/ self/ children? *
Is there anything else you would like to add so that I can have a better understanding about your relationship with food. Please explain below. *
