Thank you for your interest in hosting a volunteer team day. We are able to provide affordable housing and home repairs because most of the work is provided by volunteers. This helps reduce the cost of a job by almost 50%.
In addition to helping our partner families, many volunteers find this is an excellent opportunity to learn a new skill as no experience is required, our Construction Director will teach anyone, anything they need to do.
If you have not already been in contact with a volunteer coordinator one will reach out to you soon. We do our best to accommodate requested volunteer days, however our weekend dates fill fast. If you are able to have a weekday work day, we will most likely be able to accommodate your date.
Please note that due to the nature of our volunteer work, we do not have specific projects until approximately one month before the project start date. We will do our best to provide you with the type of work your group requests.
What are the next steps:
- Once your date is secured with our construction department you will receive an email confirming it with you.
- Once a project location is confirmed a personalized volunteer sign-up link will be sent to you. (unless other arrangements are made between the group and volunteer coordinator)
- All volunteers must sign-up on the link and complete the volunteer application. Volunteer applications can be brought with you to the volunteer day or emailed to the volunteer coordinator
- Once signed-up on the site, volunteers will receive a confirmation email.
- Two days prior to your scheduled work day, volunteers will receive a reminder email
- The day of volunteers show up at work site, Habitat provides everything needed for the day!
